GCV Small Business EXPO kicks off Small Business Week in the Coachella Valley Annually!


Ignite your entrepreneurial spirit! Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce (GCVCC) is proud to announce, in support of all local merchants, GCV Small Business EXPO event on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino’s Special Event Center. Now taking booth orders!


Last year, over 150 innovative exhibitors and vehicles filled the showroom to highlight our community resources, local business professionals, leaders, business owners, nonprofit organizations and popular attractions – all with an emphasis on shopping local. There will be a mixture of new start-ups and long-established businesses.


“We are creating awareness and excitement around our local businesses by bringing together some of the brightest minds and best companies from the valley together at the EXPO,” says GCVCC Chief of Staff, Katie Stice. “These business owners, managers and staff live in our communities, send their kids to our schools, join service clubs, support our nonprofits and impact the desert economy. Supporting local business is one of the best ways to strengthen our local economy and we can all do it together.”


Attendees will enjoy local flavors and food samples while learning about products and services, networking with other industry professionals, and connecting first-hand with merchants. Admission is $7.


EXPO attendees will experience a large sample of our local economy including our popular pop-up villages! Interaction, activity, giveaways, raffles, drawings and music will fill the event space. The villages focus on the building, medical and business networking industries. Last year over 1,200 people attended in support!


CV Small Business Week ends with Small Business Saturday. Small Business Saturday is a national shopping holiday held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving during one of the busiest shopping periods of the year and it sponsored by American Express. The GCVCC was recognized as a “2017 Neighborhood Champion” by Small Business Saturday in recognition for their work promoting local small business.


Join us for this CV Small Business Expo! Tickets and booths will be available soon! Exhibitors are invited to stay at the exclusive Exhibitor’s Only After Party on the 12th floor from 7:30pm-9pm where networking and refreshments will be enjoyed after another great EXPO event.

Exhibitor Agreement Guidelines and Event Information : To exhibit, the exhibitor must agree to the following, with representative’s signature required on below registration form. 1.  Participation is subject to the approval of the GCVCC. Shared booths are prohibited. If you are the owner of two different businesses and both are part of the Chamber of Commerce, you may promote both businesses in one booth. 2.  Participant agrees to abide by all City, Fire Department, Health Department, and Chamber of Commerce rules and regulations. Must be 21 to enter Casino. Food booths MUST adhere to all health and safety code regulations. Refrigeration and preparation areas are not available/provided. 3.  If utilizing electricity, Chamber must be notified of what device will be plugged in for power needs. Payment ($55) is required at time of registration for electricity and will be limited to certain areas in the floorplan. 4.  Set-up time is 11pm to 2pm on Thursday, November 15. Directions for unloading/loading will be emailed directly to each exhibitor prior to the event, along with other pertinent information. We will also offer an informative meeting prior to the event at the location! Stay tuned. 5.  Chamber committee will be assigning booth spaces and vendors to ensure proper placement based on needs, sponsorship, booth requested, electricity availability, and overall mix of businesses and industries. Chamber will base placement on the time registration is received and will do its best to accommodate needs. Businesses MUST NOT change booth assignments. 6.  Exhibitors must remain in their designated booth space. All equipment, merchandise and promotions must fit inside the booth area. Booth sizes available are 8’ x 10’ . NO ROVING SOLICITATIONS. 7.  Requests for additional tables and chairs can be accommodated for set fees, but requests must be made in advance. 8.  Participants are encouraged to provide demos, free gifts, giveaways, drawings, etc. Your booth is your promotional space. Have fun, and stand out! If a drawing is being done at your booth, you are responsible for its facilitation and to notify winners. 9.  Chamber is providing booth space including 2 chairs, a 6’ draped table with tablecloth, trash can, black sides and 8’ black backdrop and small signage featuring company name. Exhibitors are responsible for their exhibit set-up, etc. Signage is encouraged. 10. No loud music or intrusive behavior will be permitted. No more than 4 booth assistants per booth. 11. Exhibitors are responsible for having proper materials, and helpers to load, unload and set-up booths. 14. IN RESPECT OF OUR PAYING EXHIBITORS, ANY NON-EXHIBITORS ROAMING THE FLOOR WITH HANDOUTS, FLYERS, or OTHER PROMOTIONAL ITEMS WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE EVENT. BUSINESS CARDS, HOWEVER, ARE ENCOURAGED. 15. Exhibitor Only After Party from 7:30pm-9pm on the 12th floor will include passed appetizers and networking among the exhibitors. Must have exhibitor wristband to enter the after party.
